Because CYMED products are latex-free, allergic reactions are rare, but can happen.  In fact, many people turn to MicroSkin because they are allergic to other products.  If skin allergy is a concern, we recommend doing a "patch test" by placing our product on the abdomen, opposite the stoma.  Leave MicroSkin in place for 72 hours, unless reaction occurs sooner.  Remove MicroSkin after 72 hours, check skin for irritation.  Note:  Remove MicroSkin by pulling outward at about a 25-degree angle, versus pulling straight upward, to gently release from skin.
