THE CYMED HYDROCOLLOID WASHER
Washers provide extra protection and support to the skin surrounding the stoma without sacrificing comfort. Naturally extracted from citrus peels, Cymed’s washers are a specially formulated pectin-based hydrocolloid. Washers can provide some absorption and longer wear time for wounds, as well as providing some minor convexity for recessed stomas.
- MicroSkin® barriers are available with integrated washers, or can be purchased separately. î
- Sizes: available in Cut-to-Fit or in any of our Pre-cut sizes. î
- Thickness: available as either Thin (1mm) or Thick (2mm).

THE POUCH
Cymed provides you with a variety of pouches for every type of ostomy. All are composed of Cryovak odor-proof material and have a waterproof comfort backing. Cymed pouches are latex-free and are available in either clear or opaque.

One-Piece Pouches
The barrier and pouch are combined into one unit for a one-step application.

Two-Piece Pouches
The Cymed two-piece barrier has a flat pliable universal flange. Two-piece pouches attach to the flange with an adhesive seal. No hard plastic ring! Cymed two-piece pouches and barriers are interchangable.
Drainable
The pouch can be easliy emptied by releasing the closure at the bottom of the pouch.
Closed-End
Designed for one-time usage, includes integrated charcoal filter and is available in one-and-two piece systems.
Gore-tex® Charcoal Filter
Effectively releases gas and eliminates odor. The Gore-tex® filter tab provides waterproof protection of the filter.
